Most moles don’t need treatment. However, if you are suspicious of a mole it is a good idea to see a Dermatologist. If your doctor suspects that a mole may be cancerous, he or she may take a tissue sample (biopsy) for microscopic examination.

Mole removal is an outpatient service and usually only takes a short time to remove. The process requires your doctor to numb the area and cut the mole from the healthy skin.The procedure does leave a small scar.
