Securely communicate with Alaska Family Dermatology and take an active role in managing your health through the OnPatient Portal. Below are tips and tricks to navigating the OnPatient Portal. If you have issues with the OnPatient Portal and cannot find the answer below please call us at 877-225-6494.
After you schedule your first appointment, our staff members will invite you to onpatient. You will be sent an onpatient invitation to the email you provided. Click the Register link in the email to start the Registration process. This link expires 7 days from when it was sent.
Login using your onpatient email and password
If you do not have a onpatient account, create one with the email account provided to Alaska Family Dermatology
Once you are registered with the onpatient portal, the Sign up now link we sent to your email will no longer work. You should go to onpatient.com and enter your login information. If the link has expired and you did not register, please call our office at 907-268-2067 to request we send you another invitation.
Shows upcoming and past appointments. Office forms can also be found here.
Shows all of your doctors that are on onpatient, including Dr. Brown.
Pay and see all statements.
Send and receive direct messages with your doctor.

The first screen, the appointment screen, shows all of your upcoming appointments and past appointments if you have them.
Onpatient allows you to fill out all of your required forms in the comfort of your home before your appointment. Start the process by clicking the “check-in” button for any upcoming appointment any time before your appointment. If you use the same email for more than one patient, both patients’ appointments will be found on this screen.
The appointment screen also allows you to schedule additional follow-up appointments with Dr. Brown by clicking the “Book Appointment” button.
Your upcoming appointment(s)
Select “Check in” to start onboarding process for your upcoming appointments.
Choose this to book follow up appointments.
After clicking “check in” you will be brought to the onboarding/check-in page. All boxes highlighted in red are required, as are the three consent forms. In total, this process may take 10-15 minutes.
Your Primary Insurance is required to your onboarding forms.
To book an appointment from the patient portal, click on the appointment section to bring up your upcoming and previous appointments. To book a new appointment with us, click on “Book Appointment”
Click “Book Appointment” to see available times for a future appointment.
Alternatively, you may book an appointment by clicking on the “Doctors” in the menu bar. When the Doctors Section loads, select Dr. Brown and book an appointment by clicking “+ New Appointment”
Click “New Appointment” to choose an appointment time.
Click “Send a Message” to direct message Dr. Brown’s office.
After clicking on “Book Appointment”, you will be sent to the “Schedule Appointment” page. Here, after selecting Dr. Brown and our location, you may select the exact appointment date and time for your new appointment.
Choose Dr. Brown to get started.
Next, select our office location.
Choose an appointment date and time. Use the left and right arrow to navigate the calendar.
Please be sure to enter a Reason for your visit. Be as specific as possible about why you are coming in for a visit.
Click “Schedule” to submit your appointment.
To access the billing section click on “Billing” in the menu bar. Here you will have access to all previous statements, payment history, and the ability to pay for any outstanding balances. Note: You are unable to pay bills through the Dr. Chrono Onpatient Iphone App and must do so through a browser.
See previous appointment statements after they have been approved by your insurance company. Emails will be sent to you when statements are ready for review.
See all your previous statements.
Add, remove and edit credit or debit payment methods. You will see a “Make Payment” button once a valid payment method is entered.
All current statements will be listed here.
Click the “View” button that will appear here to view the full statement.
Click the “Pay” button here to pay the balance.
To access the message section click on “Messages” in the menu bar. Here you be able to direct message Dr. Brown with any questions or concerns. Only one photo is allowed per message sent.
Click on “Messages” to enter the message section.
The Inbox will show all direct messages from your doctor.
View all the previous messages sent to your doctor.
To create a new message, click “Send Message”.
onpatient allows the doctor and staff to send secure documents to your onpatient account. To access these documents click on “Documents” in the menu bar.
Click “Documents” to access all Documents from your doctor. Click on the Document to see the file.
Alaska Family Dermatology accepts commercial health insurances, Medicare, Medicaid, and Tri-care. We do require a referral for Medicaid patients.
