We use OnPatient here at Alaska Family Dermatology to make the appointment and communication process easier with our patients.

With OnPatient you can:

  • Link your child’s account and manage their health records alongside your own

Registering For OnPatient

After you schedule your first appointment, our staff members will invite you to OnPatient . You will be sent an OnPatient invitation to the email you provided. Click the Register link in the email to start the Registration process. This link expires 7 days from when it was sent.

Once you are registered with the onpatient portal, the Sign up now link we sent to your email will no longer work.  You should go to onpatient.com and enter your login information.  If the link has expired and you did not register, please call our office at 907-268-2067 to request we send you another invitation.

Navigating the Appointments Section

The first screen, the appointment screen, shows all of your upcoming appointments and past appointments if you have them.

Onpatient allows you to fill out all of your required forms in the comfort of your home before your appointment. Start the process by clicking the “check-in” button for any upcoming appointment any time before your appointment.  If you use the same email for more than one patient, both patients’ appointments will be found on this screen.

The appointment screen also allows you to schedule additional follow-up appointments with Dr. Brown by clicking the “Book Appointment” button.

Check In/Onboarding

After clicking “check in” you will be brought to the onboarding/check-in page. All boxes highlighted in red are required, as are the three consent forms. In total, this process may take 10-15 minutes.

Booking From the Appointments Section

To book an appointment from the patient portal, click on the appointment section to bring up your upcoming and previous appointments. To book a new appointment with us, click on “Book Appointment”

Alternatively, you may book an appointment by clicking on the “Doctors” in the menu bar. When the Doctors Section loads, select Dr. Brown and book an appointment by clicking “+ New Appointment”

After clicking on “Book Appointment”, you will be sent to the “Schedule Appointment” page. Here, after selecting Dr. Brown and our location, you may select the exact appointment date and time for your new appointment.

Navigating the Billing Section

To access the billing section click on “Billing” in the menu bar. Here you will have access to all previous statements, payment history, and the ability to pay for any outstanding balances. Note: You are unable to pay bills through the Dr. Chrono Onpatient Iphone App and must do so through a browser.

Navigating the Messages Section

To access the message section click on “Messages” in the menu bar. Here you be able to direct message Dr. Brown with any questions or concerns. Only one photo is allowed per message sent.

Navigating the Documents Section

onpatient allows the doctor and staff to send secure documents to your onpatient account. To access these documents click on “Documents” in the menu bar.
