Dr. Stephanie McLeish Is Back in Clinic This Fall

Good news if you have been waiting on a dermatology appointment: Dr. Stephanie McLeish, M.D., is seeing patients at Alaska Family Dermatology from October 19 through October 30, and she will be back with us for two weeks in November and two weeks in December. Her visits open up additional appointments for both new and returning patients heading into winter.

Meet Dr. McLeish

Dr. McLeish is a Board-Certified Dermatologist and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She came to dermatology by way of internal medicine, and she served 20 years on active duty in the United States Air Force.

She graduated from medical school at the University of South Florida in Tampa and completed her Internal Medicine residency at Keesler AFB Medical Center. After six years as an internist, she retrained in dermatology at the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium. She also spent several years on the teaching staff of both residency programs, so she is used to explaining things clearly and taking the time to answer questions.

Dr. McLeish grew up in Costa Rica and is fluent in Spanish. Se habla español.

Outside the clinic you will find her scuba diving, hiking, mountain biking, and kayaking. She is an avid traveler with a passion for photography, including underwater photography, which makes Alaska a pretty good fit.
