ABOUT OUR PRACTICE

Alaska Family Dermatology welcomes patients of all ages. The clinic provides competent, compassionate, and personalized care. You will always be seen by the same board-certified dermatologist. Dr. Gina Brown specializes in the care of pediatric patients and is the only board-certified pediatric dermatologist in the state.

Dr. Brown is a board-certified dermatologist and is the only board-certified pediatric dermatologist in the state of Alaska. She attended The Ohio State University College of Medicine and then completed residencies in pediatrics and dermatology at the University of Colorado. She then completed a fellowship in pediatric dermatology at Oregon Health & Science University. She has also spent time as a Pediatrician in Lesotho working with Pediatric HIV patients, received a resident international grant to practice dermatology in Botswana, and observed dermatology clinics in Guatemala as well. During medical school, she co-founded a non-profit which is still going known as Ride for World Health, in which medical students ride across the U.S. and advocate for improvements in the quality and accessibility of national and global healthcare.

Dr. Brown has been in Anchorage for over 5 years and has fallen in love with Alaska. She sees opportunity for outreach to underserved populations in Alaska that is similar to her experiences in other countries. Outside of work, more than any other activity she loves hiking with her family in their back yard, Chugach State Park. She also enjoys yoga, gardening (a must, since her husband is a horticulturist!), skiing and spending time with her husband and two daughters Madeline (5) and Katherine (3).
